The Kiss of the Siren
by Gustav Wertheimer (Austrian, 1847–1904)
Song To The Siren
Long afloat on shipless oceans
I did all my best to smile
'Til your singing eyes and fingers
Drew me loving to your isle
And you sang, "Sail to me, sail to me, let me enfold you"
Here I am, here I am waiting to hold you
Did I dream you dreamed about me?
Were you hare when I was fox?
Now my foolish boat is leaning
Broken lovelorn on your rocks
For you sing, "Touch me not, touch me not, come back tomorrow"
Oh my heart, oh my heart shies from the sorrow
I'm as puzzled as a newborn child
I'm as troubled as the tide
Should I stand amid the breakers?
Or should I lie with death my bride?
Hear me sing, "Swim to me, swim to me, let me enfold you"
Oh my heart, oh my heart is waiting to hold you

“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.”
Water, stories, the body, all the things we do, are mediums that hid and show what's hidden. Rumi

'They say there is a window from one heart to another
How can there be a window where no wall remains?' Rumi
Love is from the infinite, and will remain until eternity
Yes, even if you only were a dream.
In love, aside from sipping the wine of timelessness,
nothing else exists.
There is no reason for living except for giving one's life.
I said, 'First I know you, then I die.'
He said, 'For the one who knows Me, there is no dying.'
nothing else exists.
There is no reason for living except for giving one's life.

He said, 'For the one who knows Me, there is no dying.'

Former President Bill Clinton was headed to Southern California Tuesday afternoon, after a quick visit to the Central Coast.
The visit was mostly a trip to raise money for his wife's presidential campaign. He made a stop at Santa Barbara's Canary Hotel earlier in the day, and from there went to a private event hosted at Hope Ranch, according to Laura Capps, daughter of Congresswoman Lois Capps (D-Santa Barbara).
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Senator Bernie Sanders are both working to get the lion's share of California's large contingent of Democratic Party convention delegates.
Sanders was in San Diego Tuesday evening, preparing for a rally scheduled at the city's convention center.

1964
The year of the Dragon.
1964 (MCMLXIV) was a leap year.
1964 was an eventful year -- a half-century ago, humans were making strides toward space travel beyond the Earth's orbit, and Tokyo hosted the 18th Summer Olympics. The Beatles took America by storm, as Race Riots gripped big cities -- and the the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was signed into law. Boxer Cassius Clay became Muhammad Ali and the heavyweight champion of the world....
